MEMBERSHIP SERVICE
The MACS Council noted the importance of keeping members abreast with the latest developments and changes in laws, particularly the Companies Act, 2016, the Income Tax Act 1967, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA) and other securities and business rules and regulations that are related to company secretaries. With this in mind, MACS continuously updated the members and students of the Company Secretarial practices on the following: -
| 1. | The Association’s official journal, ‘The Malaysian Corporate Secretary Journal’ is published quarterly and the Journal contains articles and features on technical and other professional subjects which are of interest to its members; |
| 2. | To conduct Continuing Professional Development Programmes for members and the public as to help them to gain higher rewards when comes to their chosen profession; |
| 3. | Providing advice and professional assistance to members who face difficulties with technical issues and interpretation in the discharge of their professional duties; |
| 4. | To hold seminars jointly with Suruhanajaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) / Authorities and other professional bodies and |
